Four storey building housing complex telecoms equipment and a small number of offices, it was constructed at a time when security of state infrastructure was a serious concern, and so no windows to the exterior were permitted. A central courtyard provides natural light to the offices. The cladding is of technical interest as it utilises very large (10m x 1.5m) pre-cast, board-marked concrete panel hung in place, a system we first used at Egans Phibsborough (1972), and which has weathered remarkably well.
